1960 Beuchat Sub Compensator Diving Mask

Very rare, very vintage “Beuchat Sub Equipment Sous-Marin reference number 151.110 “B w S.G.D.G. - All Paten” Skin Diving Mask. Hard yellow plastic rim for style. This Compensator is the historical icon of the Beuchat brand. Made in France by George Beuchat, originally a Swiss Watch Maker. This rimless mask design was a novel one that helped divers see a wider scope around them. The soft black rubber they used is marked “ESPADON.” Glass just marked “TEMPERED GLASS.” No Beuchat signature on glass like how most all Beuchat masks are signed. This is Skin Diving History. 6 3/4” wide, 5 1/4” tall. Adjustable rubber strap. In excellent vintage condition as you can see. Buy to collect, buy to display, buy to use. Comes with its original cardboard box. I should sell this back to the Beuchat company, which is still in business, for their Museum. Or hopefully a scuba collector or museum buys this. This is that rare and in such mint vintage shape. Plus the bright yellow fashion rim is striking.
