Supplemental coolant additives can be used instead of coolant filters to replenish the cooling system when depleted. Periodic testing of coolant mixtures should be done to ensure proper chemical levels are maintained. The service sticker inside the driver side door indicates which type of additive the system requires (BTE or BTA PLUS).
