Richly ornamental Blessing gilt metal clock, made in West Germany the blessing company started in the mid 18th century and ceased production in 1977. This clock is styled in the Rococo Revival manner, with an exuberant gilt-metal case marked by scrolling acanthus, heart-shaped cartouches, and elegant cabriole legs that lend it the look of a miniature salon piece. The dial and decorative hands remain intact with pleasing age, though the movement is currently not working, needs to be fixed. Making this an ideal decorative accent rather than a functional timekeeper. The clock brings an unmistakable Old World charm, perfect for a mantel, bookcase, or any vignette that calls for a touch of Continental romance. See pictures for condition and dimensions.
