I have seen similar figures online but none have had the name plate on the front, the stamp on the bottom and the artist signature on the back of the figure. The last two photographs are the signatures on him and on her. The signature on her is harder to decipher. I have not been able to find a lot about the artist. I can tell you that it is purported that his figures are all made from coal and that they originated in the Appalachians coal country of West Virginia. These figures are from an estate here in appalachia. It is unknown whether or not the previous owner was in the coal mining business.
