An absolutely stunning floor length long Japanese kimono called a Kuro (black) Tomesode. It is a very formal kimono. This dates back to the 1920s. Typified with a mirror image design. In the 1930s it started to be assymetrical and biased to the left front skirt. The main color is black with cream, green, amber highlights with cranes, Japanese garden and marigolds. The kimono is in overall good condition. The main damage to note is on the reverse to the lining where there are water / tide marks. The approximate size is a medium and would fit someone best between a UK size 10 and 12 and with a height of five foot eight inches or with heels/built up shoes. The full length is 152 cm.
