What we have here is:
An early 20th century antique pyrographic (wood burned) piece of Native American art, signed. The name is not legible to me.
Plaque depicts a Native American Chief with a gold coin on his headband with two feathers protruding
The portrait is mounted on a red wood backing which is full of character in it’s own right
There are two eye hooks with a string on the back for wall hanging
Portrait measures .75”x7.25”x12”.
The plaque measures 1.5”x9.5”x16.5”
Missing two metal mounting pins on portrait. There is a split on the upper left of the portrait stemming from the missing pin. There are three screws in the back in addition to the 2 for wall hanging. More than likely, way back when, they held the portrait when the pins disappeared.
