Here are 2 EXTREMELY RARE Aquatint Painting/Print from the 1800s!! A truly exciting PAIR. I also included a well made leather bill fold because I was storing the Aquatints inside. I’ve included all the details I could find out about these wonderful pieces. PLEASE SEE PICS & ASK ANY QUESTIONS
1st Aquatint: A False Alarm on the Road to GRETNA. Tis’ only the mail! SIZE: 49”cm width & 37” cm high
Painted by Charles B. Newhouse (1805-1877) and Engraved by Richard G. Reeves. Distributed by B. Moss and Co. Leman St. Goodmans Fields, London. Made in England. Its believed to have been created between 1839-1845.
2nd Aquatint: Coaching: Stage Coach & Opposition Coach in Sight. SIZE: 49” cm width & 37” cm high
Painted by James Pollard (1792-1867) Made in England. I couldn’t find to much information on this. It was created in 1819, & Kept by the Yale Center for British Art. (some H20 dmge)
