For sale : a set of six vintage 1958 and 1960 restaurant ware plates made by Shenango China. The design features a gray and a maroon band on a white background, and they are 9 inches in diameter.
The bottom of each plate includes either the date code "I-16" or "X-18" as part of the maker's mark. Using charts provided by the Restaurant Ware Collector's Network it was determined the former stands for the year 1958 and the latter for 1960.
The plates show some light utensil scratches, but they are not heavily scratched. Otherwise all are in good condition with no cracks, chips, crazing, or stains.
There are two sets available, and each set includes six plates.
