A beautiful vintage purple grape cluster cookie jar by Metlox Manufacturing Co. The jar is the grape cluster and the lid is the green vine and leaves. The color is such a gorgeous vibrant hand-painted purple! Made in U.S.A. engraved on Bottom.
Excellent vintage condition. It was hard to photograph this piece without so many small reflections bouncing off it. I did my best! But please note there is absolutely no crazing, cracks or chips on this piece.

Metlox Pottery was founded in 1927 by Theodor C. Prouty and his son Willis Prouty, originally as a producer of outdoor ceramic signs. The Metlox Manufacturing Company was incorporated in 1933. The pottery factory closed in 1989 after 62 years of operation.
